Zaya grew up in the Mongolian mountains and is attending a new school now. She looks a bit different from the other children and wears her hair in the traditional way of her tribe. The teacher welcomes her in the class, makes the class clap for her and tells the pupils to welcome her – but that doesn’t help. They mock at her, pull her hair and shove her around. The leader of the group, Kublai, is the worst. Zaya doesn’t know what to do. The next day when she comes to school and the mocking starts again she takes a decision and stands up for herself. And when Kublai comes into her way she pulls his ears. He starts yelling and she gets the respect of everybody. This was the day she hit the right one.
